Blue Lug is a bike shop in Tokyo that makes its own bags and accessories. At SORT in Vancouver, we carry a growing range of them: cargo nets, reflectors, sacoches, pouches, lights and a few things that have nothing to do with bikes at all.
This is a guide to the Blue Lug pieces we currently carry, grouped by how you'd use them.
What is Blue Lug?
Blue Lug started in Tokyo in 2006 as a fixed-gear blog and online store, and has since grown into several bike shops around the city, with its headquarters in Hatagaya. Alongside bikes and parts, the team designs its own bags and accessories, most of them made in Japan. Fairweather is its in-house label, and Blue Lug Tandem is a line of everyday pieces for riding with family and friends.
What we like about Blue Lug is that the things are useful first and fun second, and they're priced so you can actually use them. You don't need to be a serious cyclist to get something out of them.
We started carrying Blue Lug in spring 2026, after Lina and Beatrice, two keen cyclists, joined the SORT team. Customers in the shop and online took to it quickly, and the range has grown with every order since.
On the bike

- Bike Cargo Net — a two-tone stretch net that covers about 30 × 30 cm and keeps whatever is in your basket or on a front rack from bouncing out. It comes with two kinds of hooks: aluminum ones for rack tubing and larger plastic ones for handlebars. It comes in eight colourways.
- X-Strap — a rubber tie-down that hooks at four points in an X shape. Good for holding a bag or jacket on a rack without buckles.
- Bike Pocket — a small zip pouch that straps to the stem, handlebars or top tube with velcro, so keys and a phone stay within reach. Add the Shoulder Strap to carry it off the bike.
- KOMA Light — a compact, USB-rechargeable bike light in brushed aluminum, sold as a front or rear light.
- Magic Rolly Ankle Band — a wide velcro band that keeps trouser hems away from the chain.
- Glow Whistle — a small glow-in-the-dark whistle for a zipper pull, keyring or handlebar bag.

Reflectors
Blue Lug's reflectors are the pieces most people discover the brand through. They tie onto a bag strap, bike frame or keys, and they're reflective without looking like safety gear.

- Triangle Reflector — Blue Lug's best-known piece, a low-profile take on the yield sign with a sturdy strap. Colours are assorted.
- Mini Triangle Reflector — the same idea at about 5 cm, sized for keys and small bags.
- Sandwich Reflector — made from offcuts of reflective material, folded into a sandwich shape.
- Triangle Reflector for SAI Botanical Works — a special version made for the botanical shop next to Blue Lug's Tandem bike shop.
Bags and pouches

- Stroll Sacoche — a flat shoulder bag in Cordura nylon, sized for a 13-inch laptop or A4 notebooks, with a yellow reflector on the front.
- Fairweather Packable Sacoche — a waterproof sacoche that folds down to palm size, about 75 g. Useful as a spare bag.
- Small Pouch — a 5 × 3.5 inch pouch with a carabiner, sewn by Blue Lug's sewing team. We carry it in ripstop and X-Pac.
- Coin Pouch — a round 9 cm pouch with an inside pocket, for coins, earbuds or anything that rattles loose.
- Padding PC Sleeve — a quilted sleeve for 13 to 14 inch laptops that closes with one snap. The padding gets puffier with use.
Off the bike
A few Blue Lug pieces have nothing to do with cycling, and they're some of our favourites.

- Onigiri Sheet — a lightweight two-tone picnic blanket that folds into a small onigiri-shaped pouch. Light enough to hang from handlebars and pull out at the park.
- All-Star Nalgene Bottle — a 1-litre wide-mouth Nalgene in a cotton sleeve that adds grip.
- Tandem Glow Key Ring — small glow-in-the-dark key rings featuring two Tandem characters, Momo-chan and Ao-kun.

See everything in our Blue Lug collection. We add new pieces as they come in and stock moves quickly, so the range changes.
