Established in 1929, OHTO is a Japanese pen manufacturer that initially focused on inks and dyes. In 1949, OHTO produced the world's first "Made in Japan" ballpoint pen, which was pencil-shaped with a chrome ball. Since then, the company has been responsible for many other world's firsts, including the ceramic roller ball pen and their famous single blocked strong needle tip. Every OHTO instrument is hailed as a joy to write with while still being aesthetically pleasing.
