Craft Design Technology Mechanical Pencil

This mechanical pencil is Craft Design Technology's take on the Pentel Kerry — a cap-activated pencil first designed in 1971 and still one of the most collected pencil shapes around. Pentel builds this version too, so the mechanism inside is the real thing, dressed in CDT's own finish.

The grip section is textured to mimic Sanada-himo, the woven cord traditionally used to bind Japanese armour, and it sits between an aluminium, brass, and ABS body finished in matte satin. Click the cap to advance 0.5mm lead, or lift it off to reveal a small eraser. At 21 grams and just over 12cm, it has real presence without being heavy.
