Japanese Matcha Whisk Holder (Kusenaoshi)

After whisking, a bamboo chasen needs to dry in the right shape, or its prongs slowly splay and bend out of line. That's what a kusenaoshi, literally a "shape fixer," is for.

This holder sits upright on the counter. Rinse your whisk, then rest it head-down over the holder so the prongs settle back into their natural curve and dry with air all around them.
