Hasami Porcelain Mug Cup 11oz (Gloss Gray)

We started carrying Hasami Porcelain after someone on our team brought their own set into the studio. That was a few years ago now, and we're still using the same mugs every day.

This is the mug from Hasami Porcelain's original collection, designed by Takuhiro Shinomoto in Nagasaki, Japan. It won Japan's Good Design Award in 2015. It's made from a stone and clay blend, finished in Gloss Gray with a glaze that's glossy on top and left raw along the edge, so the texture shows through where the two meet. The handle is squared off, which makes it easy to hold, and the mug stacks with the matching coaster/plate from the same collection. It's dishwasher and microwave safe, so it holds up to everyday use.
