Hobonichi Techo Pencil Board — Ice Grey x Yellow
A pencil board is a thin backing sheet you slide under the page you're writing on — it stops the pen from denting the pages underneath and gives just enough resistance for smoother, more even writing.
Hobonichi's version is synthetic Yupo paper in ice grey colour in yellow grid, with faint millimetre markings along the edge for quick measuring and a printed "Today" tab that doubles as a bookmark. Comes in three sizes: A6, A5, and Weeks.

Hobonichi is a Japanese planner brand built around the Techo, a page-a-day book printed on Tomoe River paper and bound to lay flat, released in a new edition every year since 2001.
The Hobonichi 2027 collection will be available to order starting 7:00 PM PDT on August 31, 2026. Planners are expected to arrive in-store the first week of September, with online orders fulfilled immediately afterwards.
