Established in 1929, OHTO is a Japanese pen manufacturer that initially focused on inks and dyes. In 1949, OHTO produced the world's first "Made in Japan" ballpoint pen, which was pencil-shaped with a chrome ball. Since then, the company has been responsible for many other world's firsts, including the ceramic roller ball pen and their famous single blocked strong needle tip.
