A collaborative project between world-famous designer Naoto Fukasawa and renowned Japanese Washi paper maker ONAO, the SIWA collection is best characterized by its unique aesthetic with modern and traditional elements. OANO is located in Ichikawamisato, and has a rich history in the art of creating Washi paper (aka Soft Naoron). The paper is created by a team of expert craftsmen by blending a special mix of wood pulp and polyolefin to create a soft, crinkled-effect material that is water and tear resistant, and which can hold heavier contents with ease.
