Made in Japan Steel Frying Pan with Bamboo Handle - Ø9.5" × D2"
Iron cookware is valued for its heat retention and even cooking, but its weight and rust issues have been drawbacks—until now. This lightweight, rust-resistant collection solves both problems while remaining compatible with all heat sources: induction, electric, ceramic, and gas.
Handcrafted in Niigata, Japan, each pan undergoes a cold-press process and is coated with OXYNIT, enhancing hardness, rust resistance, and durability. The unique, uneven coloring from this treatment adds to its character. Smooth, laminated bamboo handles provide a natural, comfortable grip.
To season, heat the pan until very hot, coat with vegetable oil, then wipe clean. Wash with warm water and mild detergent using a tawashi brush, dry immediately, and store with a light oil coating.
Avoid sharp utensils to protect the OXYNIT coating. Use a stiff brush for cleaning, and a rust remover if needed. Always wash, dry, and oil before storage.
See this PDF link for instruction on how to season, how to use and how to clean the pan
Also available in 3" deeper size.
