Moonstar Shoes Like Pottery Shoes - White / Low (Made in Japan)

Moonstar's Shoes Like Pottery are simple yet durable, understated yet beautiful sneakers. Each pair is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Japan using a vulcanisation process called "ka-ryu". Vulcanized soles, a rarity with very few factories in Japan, are kiln-fired at 120°C for 70 minutes, similar to pottery firing. This process chemically reverts rubber to its original shape due to extreme heat and pressure, ensuring durability and flexibility.

 

Moonstar was born from Japan's MoonStar brand in 1973 by Unpei Kurata. This collection draws inspiration from American culture to craft superior-quality footwear.
