Takeo Dressco Onion Skin Letter Set (A5)

Takeo has been sourcing and developing fine Japanese paper out of Tokyo since 1899. Their Dressco line brings hard-to-find, unusual papers back into daily use — like the onion skin paper here, once used for airmail letters before it disappeared from Japanese mills in 2010.

Each set includes 20 sheets of Takeo's KateJo onion skin paper, thin and translucent with a crumpled texture, plus 6 envelopes in two coordinating colours and a lined guide sheet to keep your lines straight. The paper takes pencil, ballpoint, and fountain pen equally well, with a soft resistance that's part of its charm. Sheets are A5 (210 x 148 mm), envelopes are C6 (162 x 114 mm). Made in Japan. Our team likes it for actual letters — the kind you fold, seal, and mail.
